Congratulations to our two new partners:

BENJAMIN R. JONES

Mr. Jones currently serves as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Carson and acts as lead counsel to the City’s Planning Commission and Mobilehome Park Rental Review Board. Mr. Jones advises the City of Carson and other cities on a wide variety of public law topics including open government (including the Brown Act, Public Records Act, and Political Reform Act), land use & zoning, environmental law/CEQA, contracts & procurement, community services, municipal fees & taxation, cannabis regulation, and telecommunications regulation.

MICHELLE L. VILLARREAL

Ms. Villarreal represents cities and special districts in a wide range of public law matters, focusing on civil litigation, as well as consulting with clients on pre-litigation matters. She provides strategic legal counseling through all phases of the litigation process, including dispositive motions, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and appeals. Ms. Villarreal works closely with City Attorneys to clearly understand their clients’ goals and develop cost-efficient and effective strategies customized to the needs of each case. Her practice focuses on risk management and tort claims, labor and employment, and constitutional issues in both State and Federal courts.
