Jonathan Turner is an associate in the Los Angeles office specializing in labor and employment law. Mr. Turner handles a broad range of labor and employment related matters for the firm, including employment discrimination claims, labor negotiations, administrative proceedings, and litigation. In addition to labor and employment matters, Mr. Turner also assists the firm’s public agency clients with legal issues arising within the areas of election law, land use, zoning, and housing.
Mr. Turner received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and a B.A. from San Francisco State University.
While attending law school, Mr. Turner worked for the California Attorney General’s office as an extern within the Employment and Administrative Mandate practice group. As an extern, Mr. Turner assisted in litigating employment and constitutional actions in both state and federal courts, including claims of workplace discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Mr. Turner also clerked with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission where he assisted in the investigation of employment discrimination claims under Title VII, the ADEA, and the ADA.
Before attending law school, Mr. Turner worked for the San Francisco Human Rights Commission, where he participated in the investigation and mediation of discrimination claims in employment, housing, and public accommodations.
