Jennifer Ro is an associate in the Los Angeles office. She represents and counsels the firm’s clients in a broad array of complex litigation matters. Ms. Ro has experience in all phases of civil litigation, from pre-litigation to trial. She has experience in litigating in both state and federal court.
Prior to joining Aleshire & Wynder, Ms. Ro represented technology and entertainment clients, specializing her practice in intellectual property. Ms. Ro has handled matters as varied as copyright infringement and idea theft; statutory and common law trademark infringement; defamation and right of privacy; breach of contract and statutory and common law business torts; antitrust; unfair competition; labor and employment; profit participation and accounting claims; and First Amendment and civil rights claims.
As part of the Special Complex Litigation Unit of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, Ms. Ro prosecuted civil enforcement actions against corporations engaged in fraud and other unlawful conduct against California consumers. As a special prosecutor, Ms. Ro also first chaired multiple misdemeanor criminal trials to verdict and argued evidentiary hearings on behalf of the people.
Ms. Ro was a federal judicial clerk for the Honorable Christina A. Snyder, the Honorable Dean D. Pregerson, the Honorable S. James Otero and the Honorable Robert M. Takasugi for the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
During law school, Ms. Ro worked as a law clerk for the Los Angeles Superior Court, Civil Section. She was a legal extern for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California and for the California State Attorney General’s Office, Business and Tax Division.
