March 2, 2017 -- On April 24, 2017, Pam Lee and Laura Walker will present at the National Public Employer Labor Relations Association (NPELRA) Annual Training Conference in Long Beach, California. In a presentation entitled, “Supersized Leaves: A Supervisor’s Guide to Handling Excessive Leave Requests,” Pam and Laura will discuss circumstances when employees are entitled to leave under FMLA, ADA, and other statutory leave laws. They will also discuss when the leave becomes excessive and what rights and obligations both employers and employees have regarding leave. Pam and Laura will give practical guidance on responding to and handling an employee’s excessive leave requests.
National PELRA’s Annual Training Conference will take place in Long Beach, California at The Hilton Long Beach between April 23 – 27, 2017. Pam and Laura’s presentation is scheduled for April 24 at 1:30 pm – 2:45 pm.
Pam Lee is a partner with the firm and handles a wide variety of municipal law, land use and planning, affordable housing, and labor and employment matters. Currently, Ms. Lee serves as the Assistant City Attorney for the Cities of Cerritos and Rialto.
Laura Walker is a partner with the firm and focuses her practice on labor and employment. She represents and counsels employers on various employment-related matters, including but not limited to discrimination, unlawful harassment, wrongful termination, unfair business practices and wage and hour related issues. She has experience in all aspects of litigation, including class action litigation.
