Pam Lee and Laura Walker to Present at National PELRA Conference on April 24, 2017

On April 24, 2017, Pam Lee and Laura Walker will present at the National Public Employer Labor Relations Association (NPELRA) Annual Training Conference in Long Beach, California. In a presentation entitled, “Supersized Leaves: A Supervisor’s Guide to Handling Excessive Leave Requests,” Pam and Laura will discuss circumstances when employees are entitled to leave under FMLA, ADA, and other statutory leave laws.  They will also discuss when the leave becomes excessive and what rights and obligations both employers and employees have regarding leave. Pam and Laura will give practical guidance on responding to and handling an employee’s excessive leave requests.

Attorneys Carson and Neumeyer to Speak on “Managing the Legally Savvy Marijuana User”

Attorneys Christine Carson and Christopher Neumeyer of Aleshire & Wynder will address the topic, “Managing the Legally Savvy Marijuana User in the Era of Props. 64 and 215,” on January 19,  2017.  This will be presented by the Southern California Public Labor Relations Council at the Cerritos Public Library.

Aleshire & Wynder’s Office Administrator, Terry Vickrey, Earns CLM Designation

Congratulations to Terry Vickrey, Aleshire and Wynder’s Office Administrator, for earning the Certified Legal Manager (CLM) designation from the Association of Legal Administrators. To earn the CLM designation a candidate must demonstrate a mastery of the essential knowledge, skills and abilities in areas of Communication and Organizational Development, Financial Management, Human Resources Management, Legal Industry/Business Management, and Operations Management.

June Ailin to Present at CLE International’s 2016 Eminent Domain Seminar

On February 26, 2016, partner June S. Ailin will be a panelist at CLE International’s 2016 Eminent Domain seminar at The Westin in San Diego.  In a presentation entitled “Expert Witness Preparation:  How to Put Your Witness’s Best Foot Forward,” June and a co-presenter will discuss achieving the best possible presentation of appraisal testimony in an eminent domain trial.
