Colin Tanner to Speak at PELRAC's 10th Annual Training Conference (2019)

Partner Colin Tanner will speak at the Public Employer Labor Relations Association of California's 10th Annual Training Conference being held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Golf Resort in Cathedral City from  Wednesday, September 25 through Friday, September 27, 2019.  He will discuss “The ‘California Rule’ Under Attack Still Stands – For Now,” exploring and explaining the unique history of the California Rule and what it means for future public sector pension benefits as the Rule is tested in ongoing litigation in state and federal courts. Colin will be speaking from 9:30 – 10:45 am on Friday, September 27th

Colin Tanner and Tiffany Israel to Speak at the 50th CSDA Annual Conference (2019)

Partners Colin Tanner and Tiffany Israel will speak at the 50th California Special Districts Association Annual Conference & Exhibitor Showcase being held at the Anaheim Marriott, 700 West Convention Way, Anaheim, Wednesday, September 25 through Saturday, September 28, 2019.  They will discuss “Independent Contractor Do’s and Don’ts,” exploring and explaining the regulations special districts need to know and comply with, from selecting to using and paying independent contractors.  Colin and Tiffany will be speaking from 2:15 – 3:30 p.m. on Thursday the 26th.  


G. Ross Trindle, III to Present on Cannabis Regulation and Enforcement

G. Ross Trindle, III, a Partner in the Riverside Office and member of the Cannabis Practice Group of Aleshire & Wynder, has been invited to provide a two-hour block of training and discussion to law enforcement executives at the Imperial County law enforcement symposium on January 29, 2019 at the Quechan Casino Resort in Yuma, Arizona.


June S. Ailin to Speak at Eminent Domain Seminar

Equity Partner June S. Ailin will be speaking at the 21st annual CLE International Eminent Domain Focus on California.  The conference will take place January 31-February 1, 2019 at the DoubleTree Hotel in downtown Los Angeles located at 120 S. Los Angeles Street.  Ms. Ailin will be speaking on “What Could Go Wrong?  Dealing with Unintended Outcomes of Well-Intended Property Acquisition Decisions.”  The presentation will be based on experiences from Ms. Ailin’s 25 plus years of representing public agency clients in real property acquisition and eminent domain.
